The concept of ice hotels caught on quite recently and has since become very popular. Many cold countries now have ice hotels that provide the ambience and romance the guest come in search for. Countries like Canada, Sweden, Norway, Romania, Finland, etc. are gaining more and more tourists annually because of their specially created and catering ice hotels.
Ice hotels are normally made temporarily for a season. Construction of ice hotels requires a lot of patience and money. It is not only the parts of the building that are made of ice but even the furniture, cutlery, bed, etc. It is not an easy job. Most of the ice hotels offer different activities within the hotel like sledging, reindeer rides, ice craving classes, etc. Some hotels in Sweden offer large theaters where you can watch movies, operas, plays or listen to rock or pop. Ice hotels are mostly used by couples who come to get married in an ice chapel and want to spend their honeymoon amidst the snow. After all, what can be more romantic than snuggling under the warm blankets in the bluish light created by the ice walls and roof?
